That is hubby and my basic recipe for a great Super Bowl party.
Of course, there's Tom's Con Queso (posted on Monday), but mostly there are wings.
Last year there were knockwurst and Bahama Mamas from my parent's old hangout, Schmidt's in Columbus, Ohio. That was a great addition to our party!
But this year I think we're back to wings... and lots of them.
Here are some possibilities.
These Sherried Drumettes can be baked and then reheated on the grill. They're an awesome make-ahead option.
But it doesn't stop here. I've been working on wing recipes for years. In fact, I worked on making my Spicy Southwestern Chicken Wings perfect for a couple of years. (Don't get me wrong...I didn't make them every week or anything, but I probably tweaked the rub, then the sauce and then the dipping sauce about 10 times each. I'm serious about my wings!)

And, then there's Bond's cousin's wife Kim's recipe for shoyu chicken, which became Shoyu Chicken Wings. She showed us how to make Shoyu Chicken when we were vising in Hawaii. She used thighs, which are a favorite of my kids, but the recipe rocks the wings. These wings are sticky sweet and a little salty. So good...
Maybe you're in the mood for a "Tapas" Super Bowl celebration. Probably not the most popular idea, but these Garlic-Braised Chicken Wings would be welcome whether you're serving tapas or not.
Last, you need something to please "everyone." These easy Saucy Chicken Wings Marinara are another option.

Tomorrow I'll share our favorite rubbed-smoked-sauced wings. The photos don't rock, but the wings do.
